Garnier Malaysia Introduces K-Glow, A Korean-Inspired Hair Colour Range Made For Asian Hair And Skin Tones
The K-beauty glow-up has officially moved beyond skincare and makeup. This time, it is coming for your hair.
Garnier Malaysia has launched Garnier Color Naturals K-Glow, the brand’s first-ever glow-enhancing permanent hair colour range created specifically for Asian hair and skin tones. Inspired by Korean makeup trends and the soft, wearable tones often seen across K-beauty looks, the new range is designed for those who want hair colour that feels fresh, flattering and easy to wear.
The collection arrives in three Creamy Nude shades: Rose Latte, Caramel Mocha and Milk Tea. Each shade has been curated with a balance of warm and cool undertones to better complement local complexions, making it a more approachable option for Malaysian consumers who want to experiment with colour without going too harsh or too extreme.
Three Shades, One K-Glow Moment
With K-Glow, Garnier is tapping into the beauty language of soft colour, healthy shine and effortless polish. Instead of loud, high-commitment shades, the range focuses on wearable tones that can elevate an everyday look while still feeling natural enough for daily life.
Rose Latte brings a soft rosy-brown finish, ideal for those who want a subtle romantic tint. Caramel Mocha leans warmer and richer, giving the hair a polished brunette glow. Milk Tea offers that soft beige-brown effect often associated with Korean-inspired beauty trends.
Together, the three shades create a range that feels made for the current beauty mood: expressive, flattering and easy to style.
Leading the global K-Glow campaign is Bada Lee, the renowned choreographer and K-pop dance icon known for her bold creative presence and influence in dance culture. Her role in the campaign reflects the personality behind K-Glow — confident, expressive and made for a generation that sees beauty as part of self-expression.
Colour And Care In One Box
Beyond the shade selection, Garnier K-Glow is designed to combine colour with haircare benefits.
The ammonia-free formula is enriched with avocado, olive and almond oils, helping hair look up to 3x shinier, 2x smoother and 3x more manageable. For anyone who has been hesitant about colouring their hair because of dryness or damage, this care-focused approach makes the range feel more accessible.
It also fits into Garnier’s wider beauty positioning: products that are easy to use, available to a broad audience and designed to support everyday confidence.
Inside The K-Glow Creator Lab
To celebrate the launch, Garnier Malaysia transformed L29 Academy at 1Powerhouse into the K-Glow Creator Lab, welcoming over 100 guests including KOLs, media, affiliates and brand partners.
The event was built as an immersive K-inspired experience, with each touchpoint designed around the world of K-Glow. Guests explored a themed K-Glow Café serving drinks inspired by the three signature shades, personalised colour analysis sessions to help them discover their best match, arcade-style dance stations, and a customisation booth where they designed their own aesthetic claw clips and compact mirrors.
The highlight of the event was a professional hair colouring station created in collaboration with WOMEN under the L’Oréal Beauty For A Better Life programme. Instead of only discovering the range, selected attendees were able to leave the event wearing their K-Glow shade.
Supported by the L’Oréal Foundation, the programme helps equip underserved women in Malaysia with professional beauty skills and sustainable career pathways. For Garnier’s launch, these certified hair professionals became part of the K-Glow experience, bringing together beauty, self-expression and social empowerment in one space.
Garnier K-Glow Steps Into Malaysia’s K-Pop Dance Scene
The K-Glow campaign also extends beyond the launch event. Garnier Malaysia is the official gold sponsor of Repz Your Style, bringing the new hair colour range into Malaysia’s competitive K-pop dance community from 26 to 28 June at LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre.
Representing the brand throughout the competition is Zeppo Youngsterz, a seven-member crew known in Malaysia’s street dance scene. Fresh from their own colour refresh, the group will showcase the K-Glow shades on stage, with members wearing Rose Latte, Milk Tea and Caramel Mocha.
The partnership also includes digital content collaborations and a TikTok dance challenge inspired by the official K-Glow campaign track. Originally choreographed by Bada Lee, the routine has been reinterpreted by Zeppo Youngsterz for the local scene, giving the campaign a distinctly Malaysian energy while inviting dance enthusiasts nationwide to join in.
